This page explains what personal information BeFoundHQ collects, why we collect it, and how we look after it. It applies to this website and to the work we do for clients.
BeFoundHQ is a Brisbane based business run by Sean Chandiwana. We help trades and local service businesses get named in AI search results. You can reach us at hello@befoundhq.com or on 0483 866 399.
When you contact us or book a consult, we collect what you give us. That is usually your name, business name, email, phone number, website address, suburb or service area, and anything you tell us about your business.
When we work for you, we may also hold logins you give us for your website, Google Business Profile or directory listings, plus business details such as your address, hours, services and prices. We keep screenshots of AI search results that mention your business, because they are how we show progress.
When you visit this website, we may collect standard analytics data such as the pages you view, the device you use and your approximate location. We may use Google Analytics for this.
We do not collect card details. We invoice by email and you pay by bank transfer or through the link on the invoice.
We do not sell personal information. We do not send you marketing you did not ask for.
We share information only where we need to in order to run the business. That includes our booking tool, email provider, website host, accounting software and the AI platforms we test on. When we test AI platforms we type in your trade and suburb, not your personal details. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, mainly in the United States.
We will also share information if the law requires us to.
Any logins you give us are stored in a password manager and used only for the work we have agreed on. When the work ends, we remove our access on request. We recommend you change those passwords afterwards.
This website may use cookies for analytics. You can block cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.
We keep client information for as long as we work together, and financial records for five years as required by Australian tax law. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@befoundhq.com and we will respond within one business day.
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, email us first and we will try to sort it out. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date at the top.
